Travelers does not provide the medicine, your doctor does. Secondly, did you ever think to do your research on the medication?

Normally people will look up the medication online especially new medication. I am not sure how you can blame anyone for the medication you received since it was not force fed to you.

Don’t Use This Company!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
They take way to long to approve any type of medical treatment. Took 1 month to approve surgery, 3 weeks for cat scan, 1.5 months to approve physical therapy. Been waiting over 2 months for a payment. Terrible service! You’d think being a work comp company they would approve things in a timely manner and would approve anything to get you back on your feet so, you’r back on the job.

I have experienced the same issues. I have waited since Aril 2018 for an orthopedic evaluation.

I was misdiagnosed and told my hand hurt because of my neck. It took 14 months to get the MRI that revealed 3 torn ligaments and resulted in the removal of most of my wrist bones.

I still have not gotten treatment for my neck and it is just wrong how they can get away with this! we all need to file complaints and ask to have them audited or investigated!

Firstly, YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY CASE THEY ARE WORKING ON!!!!! That being said can you not understand that each time a request is made it goes on a pile of requests.

There ARE other real live human beings who have also put in a request. They have done it before you. So wait your turn. Their job is NOT to get you back up on your feet, their job is TO PAY FOR IT!!!

So if you dont want to pay it out of your own pocket you have to wait until approval is given. I understand your frustration, being a person who was injured at work myself. But lots of people get hurt at work and lots of people NEED to be paid for services rendered. Thankfully they must pay you for the time you are down.

In my state it’s 66% of your quarterly pay. If the checks stop coming then complain. Otherwise just relax. Yes it sucks.

Yes it hurts. But it is what it is. It’s clear they have a LOT of cases to deal with and a good chunk of those are fraudulent. The process takes time and only your employer can cause them to move faster as they are the client.

YOU are a victim and as such the law states they have a specific time limit to honor said requests. It’s a simple formula. Payouts can take 60-120 days. Individually each company will always wait until the last week to pay out due to interest.

You can’t blame them for being careful with money. Too many scammers out there doing their level best to get something for nothing.

Guest

They don’t care, they’re just hoping you go away, it’s very sad. They should held liable for their actions.

They’re all fraud, collecting compensation money from employer but when you get hurt they don’t help you promptly. In result we use the un-injured body parts to compensate for your injuries and then you have more problems than what you started with.

You MUST understand this, THEY CANNOT FEEL YOUR PAIN!!!!! Stop for a moment and think about how many millions of workers file for workers comp.

Give just those two bits of information you can understand that they are going as fast as the 8-10 hours a day allows them to. It’s about VOLUME!! They have lots of cases and lots of scammers to sift through. This takes TIME!!

All that time YOU are living in pain and working with injuries. They can’t help that, their job is TO PAY ! Believe it or not your employer is actually partially at fault in a lot of instances. The insurance companies have to get approval at times from your employer.

If they dont answer back quickly enough it drags the process down. My point is you’re posting out of frustration and ignorance. They DO care but life isn’t a webpage and it doesn’t happen at 500mbs.

They have the exact same limitations that you have to deal with at your job. A million things to do and only a set amount of time to get as much done as possible.

You know this is BS using fraud in the equation scammers so on and so forth, you very well know who are the people that truly need the medical help you have MRI's and CT scans showing you this person is injured but yet travelers still wants to contest it ..bend the rules not caring for individuals it is not ethical how most cases are handled but that's ok the people with no morals there will be a day that this happen to them as well behind that desk you know karma works in mysterious ways..

me too! I lost most of the bones in my wrist!

they still have not treated my neck and cut me off without a penny! I live in pain every day and have lost everything I worked for and they just don't care!

enough already! we need to get them investigated, if everyone bands together, files complaints and contacts their government officials, we can help others from suffering as we have!

Insurance company will not pay the full claim amount.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My personal property policy contains a 1 page endorsement that changes the coverage of jewelry to the appraised value. Page 1 of 1 reads: For a total loss to a scheduled item we will pay the amount shown in the schedule for that item. That amount agrees to be the value of the article. Partial losses will be adjusted according to 2c below. There is NOTHING below. I submitted appraisals and they were accepted by Travelers at the time the policy was issued with the endorsement changes (Appraised value, not replacement value). I was CHARGED ACCORDINGLY. Nothing in the policy says that Travelers will reappraise the item after the loss or offer a wholesale value. After 10 weeks this is now in arbitration and I hope to find a class action attorney.

I agree! they have no compassion and don't care about anything but profits!

we need to band together and get them investigated for fraud or file a class action law suite! I wonder how many have lost everything because of them?!

They are supposed to help people when something bad happens, not make it worse by delaying or denying needed medical care or claims. enough is enough!

Worst insurance after total loss

We lost our home in the fire in Paradise 11/18. Travelers is the only insurance with major losses who won't pay 75% contents without itemization, a request made by the CA insurance commissioner : http://www.insurance.ca.gov/0400-news/0100-press-releases/2018/release152-18.cfm Somehow the commissioner forgot to put them on the list as paying less than 75% (their name is not listed at all on 12/26). I have been assured that they will be on the updated list. This needs to be made public so people are aware of differences in insurers. In a total loss, travelers will pay hundreds of thousands less than other major insurers.

I was scammed by the company "Travelers Insurance". They offered me a good rate for home owner and auto insurance pack for the first 6 months. The auto insurance then went up in the next renewal by more than the double! After three calls trying to know what caused the huge increase to my premium, I got the most ridiculous answer, that for some unknown reason, their system did not detect the two accidents I had during the past 2 years!! Then, surprisingly enough, the system was fixed and reflected the accidents! I was very clear declaring these accidents while providing my information to the company, in addition to the report they ran. I bought a second car based on the premium they gave me and modified the policy 2 times during the first 6 months without any significant increase. they denied to keep the same premium we are currently paying for the next renewal, especially that we (my wife and I) did not get any tickets or had any accidents for the last year and half. And my understanding is that the premium usually goes down as the accidents get old. Now, I have to shop for a new home owner policy and auto insurance policy and lose the new auto purchase discount because of them!!

Waste of my time

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
A disc slipped in my back 2 MONTHS after working where I work. I’m constantly on my feet for 11 hours 4 days a week and I was just fine before working here . We are over worked everyday . The fact that they tried to tell me this injury didn’t happen at work has me livid. I’ve missed so many days of work going to the EMERGENCY ROOM FOR THE PAIN and they still DENIED MY CLAIM OBVIOUSLY SEEING ALL THE DOCTORS NOTES MISSSED DAYS AND PHYSICAL THERAPY IVE BEEN TRYING . physical therapy is also a waste of time because my back feels worse. This is the most annoying frustrating process I’ve ever been through. Don’t see the point in this company . I’ve lost so much money missing work and they do absolutely nothing to help with what their company claims they help with. Pathetic . And by the looks of the reviews I’m not the only pissed of person .

Canceled after 27 years without a claim.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My wife and I were married over 27 years ago. I purchased a Valuable Items Policy for my wife's engagement ring over 27 years ago. Travelers canceled me this year for no good reason. I never filed a claim but I've paid to them in premiums enough to purchase a new ring. DISGRACEFUL! I sent a certified return receipt requested letter to Travelers Consumer Affairs at their headquarters in Hartford Connecticut asking them to reconsider but they did not even respond. People need to know that this corporation does not care about it's customers. They do not even respond to the complaints of their long term customers. Go somewhere else with your business.

In July 2018 a business insured with them in Augusta, Ga rebuilt my transmission on my semi. After leaving the shop truck made on load to Miami and on the way up2 days out of the shop transmission went totally bad due to a gasket not installed properly, with was verified by 2 shops.

The repair shop put in a claim on their insurance which is Traveler's. After giving statements and details they left me stranded at a truck stop for days. Find got ok to put in shop down from truck stop and was in shop for 7 days. I ended up paying all the bills to shop and have a lot of lost revenue to my business.

Traveler's adjuster has not contacted the first time. I have to call the 800 number to get someone to call him, before he talks to me. When I do talk to him it's the same story still investigating. (What I don't know it's a pretty clear cut case).

This has put a tremendous burden on my business with both repairs and down time. Also incurred hotel, rental car, uber rides ect.

Traveler’s work comp service is terrible

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My work policy was canceled twice in 7 months. Both times I figured out I did not have coverage by accident! I had been without coverage for weeks. I operate a small business with few employees, but need coverage by law. The second time they canceled my coverage they admitted the cancellation notice was returned to them by the post office. When I asked why they did not seek another way of contacting me, thier response was “I cannot control what the post office does”. They canceled both times for not providing information. I did not receive a request either time. They did not contact my agent, nothing just stopped coverage without notification of any sort.

They dropped us cause of name? No claims

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
These guys are just straight up dumb. My first year of business we had them for both workmans comp and business insurance. Had no claims. At the end of our first year our business did well so we were charged additional premium because we ran our business well. They dropped our workmans comp because they said we were a tavern. Place is called North Side Tavern, was that name when they signed me up and took my money. They stayed on as our business insurance carrier for two more years and I got notice last night that they are dropping us because we are a tavern. Did I mention again that our name is North Side Tavern. It took some idiot in a suit behind a desk three years to figure out a business called North Side Tavern is a Tavern? This is what's wrong with insurance business. We operate as a restaurant. We close at 9pm on Sundays and Mondays, 10pm the rest of the days, and midnight on the weekends. We sell way more food then bar items. I have filed zero claims and have paid them close to 40k in premiums over the past three years. These guys have just showed me how stupid they really are by sending me this letter. Do yourself a favor do not use them for business insurance, they are not very bright. Look at review rating!! Joke

HORRIBLE COMPANY STAY AWAY

Horrible experience with this company. Had me on the phone for close to 2 hours. was preparing to bundle my home and auto insurance together. Travelers is punishing me for 1 no fault accident and 1 claim of damage with current insurance company within the last 5 years. hit by a drunk driver and will not insure me !!!!!!! and their "customer service" is pathetic. 2 incidents both not at fault within 5 years and sorry we cant insure you. I'm 54 years and a responsible driver and was treated like a criminal. It is hard to believe that they are still in business. I will gladly go elsewhere to give my business.

Lies lies and more lies

Jessica Fulton in the Gainesville Ga office processed a claim which I ventomonly denied I was at fault. Offered to have the data from my black box downloaded at my expense.

Advised me not necessary. The other vehicle had prior damage with rust which I talked to individuals that said she had the prior damage. they sent someone out to measure my vehicle which didn't match up. The accident report was revised to remove a warning.

I was not at fault. I was never given a ticket. Only a warning which was removed. She stated multiple times that my rate would not go up.

This was a couple months ago. She stated travelers had accepted liability and didn't matter police report was revised and if their own expert said it wasn't my vehicle. Now I get my renewal and it went up 50% and they only paid $3100.00. I don't think the vehicle was worth 3k.

It looked about $500.00 damage at most. Called her and she said I needed to talk to underwriter. of course they tell me to talk to claims. Call claims they will not transfer me to her supervisor.

All they do is transfer me to her extension covering for each other. They have me entered into some database with an at fault accident. I have talked to the folks that download the info from the black box and they tell me that it's too late. Travelers paid the claim only because it was cheaper for them to pay it vs denying.

I was lied to repeatedly. Travelers does not look out for their customers only what is in their best interest.
