I called Travelers on behalf of my mother who passed away and had a policy with them. After an automated voice activated switchboard had routed me to the incorrect person, wasting five minutes and forcing me to start the process all over again, I reached a person telling me I needed executor papers in order to make any changes.

Apparently a death certificate isn't good enough. In the meantime her account continues to have money taken out thus the money that would otherwise go to people that actually provided a service (medical bills, 24-hour care, etc.) is being stolen--yes stolen, as in the past participle of steal--take (another person's property) without permission or legal right and without intending to return it.

I'll be forwarding their practices along to the better business bureau as well as any expenses incurred in the legal process to get them to return said money.

Reason of review: Poor business policies as well as poor customer service. .

Monetary Loss: $500.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Sorry for the passing of your Mom, however, Travelers was not stealing her money. While alive, she entered into an agreement to have the payments withdrawn.
